The Province of Quebec has an Immigrant Investor Program which attracts high net-worth individuals and their families and is handled by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion. Quebec has a modern, pluralistic and egalitarian society that has welcomed more than 45,000 new immigrants yearly since 2004. While French is the province’s official language, English is widely spoken in its larger cities and in business. Under the Immigrant Investor Program, the revenues generated by the applicant’s investment are used to finance provincial business assistance programs for small and medium companies, as well as for the integration of immigrants and visible minorities in the workplace.
